Course director: Hedvig Harmati

The programme is conducted in five specialisations: weaving textile design, printed textile design, knitted fabric and product design, fashion design, accessory (leather) design. The programme's aim itself is to train designers whose general education, talent and creativity allow them to carry out designer's tasks with a view of the given economic and technological conditions at a highly professional level. The programme's BA graduates are expected to enhance textile culture, to preserve and renew traditions. The first year of study offers general foundation courses for all students. During the second and third years, beside the diverse art and design courses, specialisation workshops are offered to provide students with the necessary professional skills. Students' general knowledge is enhanced by related theoretical and historical courses. Participation in international competitions and professional contests as well as our industrial relations contribute greatly to the quality of training. The aim of BA level training is to teach students a creative approach to art, craft and design.
