XY - HUMAN DIGNITY AND THE MOME GENERATION

edmmutacio2

"THERE IS SOMETHING THAT IS UNTOUCHABLE IN ALL OF US. THIS SOMETHING IS UNRELATED TO COUNTRIES, REGIMES AND EVEN TO PEOPLE. IT SPRINGS FROM LIFE ITSELF. FROM THE UNIQUE, INIMITABLE EXPRESSION OF HUMAN EXISTENCE. WE CAN COMPREHEND IT ONLY IN OURSELVES. ONCE AND FOR ALL. AS LIFE TURNS INTO EXISTENCE, THE PARTICULAR INTO UNIVERSAL, AND THE CONTINGENT INTO THE NECESSARY. AS WE STRIVE FOR PERFECTION. FOR THE UNREACHABLE. TRYING TO REACH IT IN OTHERS. IN EVERYONE."

Gábor Kopek, rector

Launched by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, MOME Laboratory is a trademark program to promote integrative thinking and the appreciation of the contemporary scene. MOME Laboratory's upcoming exhibition will allow the opportunity to former students and their fellow-artists who graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest in the 21st century to introduce themselves by interpreting the notion of human dignity.
