Student success at Annecy!

nyuszi ozPéter Vácz, a MOME Anim graduate won the Junior Jury Award for his graduation film Rabbit and Deer at Annecy Festival in 2013.

Annecy is the world's top reference festival for animation films, an annual meetup for professionals, students, newcomers and animation fans. The festival celebrated its 50th birthday in 2010. Every year more than thousand films are submitted for selection in several categories, out of which the jury selects the finalists for competition.

Rabbit and Deer was regarded as the best graduation film by the Junior Jury this year, being the third Hungarian artwork since 2005 to win an award at Annecy. Formerly the creators of Nyócker (2005) and Log Jam (2009) received The Cristal Prize.

However Annecy is not the first success for Péter Vácz: his film won the Hungarian Film Critics Award, and it was screened at Cannes Short Film Corner as well. Rabbit and Deer has already been invited to several significant film festivals.
