I O line and round design studio presents their latest furniture collection at an extraordinary event. The collection Burnt Geometry designed by MOME alumna Annabella Hevesi will be available for viewing from up close at the debut showcase at Zipernowksy Studio.

The furniture presented fit into the cultural sequence rooted in Bauhaus and spanning Kassák and Vasarely’s oeuvre and the artistic activity of the Bonyhád Enamel Art Artist Community, and transplant this legacy into the present. The vibrant colours and the play with geometric shapes visually evoke the items and progressive spirit of enamelling as an artistic practice.

The furniture in the collection combine contemporary design approach and the technological and theoretical skills of erudite predecessors in a high form and execution quality. Each item was created using undeservingly marginalised technologies and materials, which will be described in detail at the event by the designer and the persons involved in execution.

Members of the Hungarian designer community as well as representatives of the broader design industry are both welcome.

The opening speech of the three-day event series will be delivered by actress Gabriella Hámori.

Venue: Zipernowsky Studio, H-1114, Bartók Béla út 33.

Date: 12 May 2022, 5:00 p.m.

The furniture collection is available for viewing until 14 May 2022.

Working at the intersection of fiction and documentary, and stage and background, German film and video artist Julian Rosefeldt combines cinematography, architecture, theatre and literature in his installations. Particularly interested in the relationship between stage and background, the visible and the hidden, the original and the imitation, his films not only evoke social narratives but also reflect on the moving image itself being an archive, a factory of myths and an experimental space.
