The MOME Doctoral School cordially invites you to the doctoral thesis defence of animation designer Tamás Ducki. His doctoral dissertation and masterwork is entitled Auteur animation in music video.

In celebration of Hungarian Film Day, an exhibition of works by the Illustration specialisation students of the MOME Graphic Design BA will open, showcasing their film posters created for Hungarian film classics, such as Father, The Tot Family, Top Hat and Spuds Nose, Time Stands Still, and Dollybirds using contemporary design thinking at a course launched at the initiative of the National Film Institute.

How can design address the issues of the future? What is the role of design in society and a designer’s job in our age? Where will design expertise become most crucial in the coming years?

Students enrolled in the B2D course can now rely on a curriculum that is fresh, authentic, and rich in case studies to help them prepare for the challenges of the creative industries. Not only will they have the opportunity to learn from distinguished creative professionals invited as guest speakers, but soon have access to a video series created through ongoing development efforts and featuring founders of renowned companies such as DE_FORM, YKRA, and Flying Objects.

Organised by the MOME Animation programme, the event brought together media artists and dancers to explore how technology transforms our personal lives, social interactions, and physical presence.

CheckINN Revitalisator 2024, the joint idea competition of CheckINN Turisztikai Innovációmenedzsment Kft. and the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design has just kicked off, with a cash prize of HUF 3 million for the team with the best revitalisation idea. The competition is inviting entries by mostly architecture and tourism and hospitality students for reinventing rust zone sites, giving abandoned industrial buildings a new purpose while preserving their original values and making an appreciable touristic impact.
