MOME Announces Open Call for Rector Position

The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) has announced an open call for applications for the position of Rector. The call has been issued by the maintainer of the university, the Foundation for Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.

Applications may be submitted until 31 March, with the evaluation process taking place in several stages between April and June. The successful candidate is expected to assume office on 1 August 2026 and begin a four-year rectorial term leading the University.

The Rector will be responsible for overseeing MOME’s educational, research and innovation activities. Key responsibilities also include supporting the academic, professional and well-being needs of students, faculty and researchers, in close cooperation with the University’s CEO, and actively contributing to the development and strengthening of MOME’s national and international professional networks in alignment with the institution’s long-term strategic objectives.

The preparation of the open call was supported by the University’s Interim Rector, Csaba Kovács, and MOME’s Senate.

Produced by MOME Anim with support from the National Film Institute, László’s 2025 diploma film marks another chapter in a long-running success story – for nearly a decade, MOME diploma films have regularly featured in this prestigious international programme.
