Introduction: Krisztina Kovács is an art historian, and the Chief of Staff at the Rector’s Office of the Moholy-Nagy University of Arts and Design. She worked for the Museum of Fine Arts between 2005 and 2013, and for Várfok Gallery between 2009 and 2024 where she became art director in 2016. She has been working as the Chief of Staff for the MOME Rector’s Office since 2024.

Biography
Krisztina Kovács is an art historian, and the Chief of Staff of the MOME Rector’s Office.
She worked at the museum pedagogy department of the Museum of Fine Arts between 2005 and 2013. Between 2009 and 2024, she worked for one of the longest-standing contemporary galleries of Budapest, Várfok Gallery, where she started out as an art historian and curator. She became the art director of the institution in 2016. Since July 2024, she has been working as the Chief of Staff of the MOME Rector’s Office. At MOME, she previously taught design management.
In the past few years, she has organised hundreds of exhibitions in and around the exhibition spaces of Várfok Gallery, and in several other prestigious institutions and museums in Hungary as well as abroad. She has participated in the creation of numerous art collections, written and edited catalogues and held presentations at various forums. In recent years, she, in cooperation with artists, musicians, poets and writers, has realised a wide range of projects to create connections between different art fields and expand the scope of contemporary art.
