In 2003 former head of the department, Éva Kádasi, invited her to MOME, first as a lecturer, then as a specialist instructor, specifically to bring the production of high temperature and firewood glazes into the department’s curriculum, alongside Attila Nemoda. She later became a workshop manager and a master’s instructor. Her main field of expertise is flame burning gas, firewood, and salt glaze ceramics and glazes. She enjoys researching glazes and ceramic printing.
Biography
She graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts’ silicate programme in 1982, as a student of Árpád Csekovszky. She shared a workshop with her husband, Attila Nemoda. First she made pots, then later mainly stoves and fireplaces. She has also restored fireplaces by replacing missing pieces. She has been teaching at MOME since 2003. She has attended artist colonies in Tállya and Siklós and burnt ceramics workshops in Kecskemét. She has participated in several group exhibitions, mainly in Szentendre, and most recently at the National Ceramic Art Biennale in Pécs in 2020.
