Theory / Historiography submodule

The aim of the Historiography classes is to outline the history of the development of historical disciplines that are important from the perspective of cultural studies, in particular design history and its development. The course will first look at the history of historiography in general, and then concentrate on the history of various historiographies, with a special focus on the history of ideas and culture and the history of ideas and culture of design, which, more strictly speaking, is identical to design culture. The course follows the process by which design history became independent from the history of art particularly closely.
