Melinda Kádár is an experimental animation director, collaborator on audiovisual projects, and freelance animator. She is a visiting lecturer at the Animation Programme of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, where she primarily teaches software skills and experimental animation.

Biography

Melinda Kádár began her studies at the Department of Film, Photography and Media of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, then continued on the Animation Programme of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Her 2019 diploma film The Wellspring and the Tower received awards at numerous international festivals. Industry players also closely follow her projects: Moholymotion, an animation about the university's namesake, created jointly with the Hen Animation Collective, had its debut at the Annecy Festival in 2020. She has been a visiting lecturer on the Animation Programme since 2020. She is currently working on her first film, Be Still My Heart.
