Our Youtube video series Discourse created with the Dress-coding team is designed to present people who, despite being, as one of our guests put it, in the same boat, do not have the opportunity to talk to each other, about each other. We made it happen.
We also asked our guests – a hearing-impaired volunteer, a wheelchair-using rally champion, a paralympic athlete, and a visually impaired volunteer firefighter – to bring items that are important for them in their daily lives, and present them, and in turn, themselves, to us.
What sounds can a hearing-impaired person hear? How can wheelchair users drive? How can a visually-impaired person become a firefighter?
