In this semester, I explored how I could make the phenomenon of magnetism visible through the movement of woven structures. I treated natural threads with an iron-oxide powder-based liquid that I had prepared, which then reacted in different ways to the effect of magnets. The pieces of the collection are made from the variations of the floating or cut threads of thick and thin linen, cotton and wool yarns, in dense-loose arrangements to demonstrate the different movements. The result can be seen in a video, where the sounds serve to emphasise the differences.
