The aim of my masterwork is to explore and represent the structure of clothing.
The formal inspiration for my collection comes from the metal frame furniture of Japanese designer Shiro Kuramata. The unique lines of the artist’s furniture are echoed in the pattern lines, which aim to create new forms and unconventional tailoring.
The parts sliding away from each other refer to the method of assembly, also emphasising the construction of the garment.
