Habilitált doktor, a MOME Építészeti Intézetének BA szakvezetője és tervezésistúdió-oktatója. Oktatói gyakorlatában fontosnak tartja, hogy az építészeti tervezés és tanítás tárgyát, a házat a hallgatókkal ne csak papíron vagy monitoron tanulmányozza, hanem tárgyiasult valóságában is. Pedagógiai, oktatói gyakorlatában a hallgató és a tanár személyes kapcsolatát különösen fontosnak tartja, amelyet a műhely-, illetve műteremmunka erősítésével, a katedráról történő, távolságtartó oktatás háttérbe helyezésével lát megvalósíthatónak. Az építészetoktatás alapkövének tekinti a fizikai tapasztalatok, élmények útján történő tanulást.
Biography
Tamás Getto is a DLA with habilitation. He is head of the BA programme at the MOME Institute of Architecture, and a design studio lecturer. As an educator, he considers it important for students to study the building, the subject of architectural design and instruction, not only on paper or on a computer screen, but also in its material reality. In his teaching practice, he considers the personal relationship between the student and the teacher to be particularly important. He aims to achieve this through increasing workshop and studio time, while reducing the amount of traditional, distant, lecture-style instruction. He considers learning through physical experiences and impressions to be the cornerstone of architectural education.
