It is with deep sadness we share the passing of János Probstner, founder and director for nearly 40 years of the International Ceramics Studio in Kecskemét.

It is with deep sadness we share the passing of János Probstner, founder and director for nearly 40 years of the International Ceramics Studio in Kecskemét.

He was a pioneering artist driven by ideals and visions, and the driving force behind the founding of the Studio. He gave everything he had to facilitate the free and democratic expression of artists.

A memorial service will be held and notified in time by the family.

The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) has announced an open call for applications for the position of Rector. The call has been issued by the maintainer of the university, the Foundation for Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
What water-related housing challenges does the 21st century face? How can water become a force for community building, and how might collective design and shared action form part of the solution? These questions are explored by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) through a new international collaboration. The design sprint Co-operatives: Living with Water Collectively is an intensive Course Week course that brings together international and Hungarian students to develop community concepts around water as a shared resource and to rethink adaptive housing models in terms of fair and creative access to water. The programme is delivered with the support of the British Council, in collaboration with the Liverpool School of Architecture’s Global Housing Design Programme, the Architecture MA at MOME’s Centre for Architecture, and the MOME Society & Action Lab.
Interest in the Tomorrow Belongs to You – For the creative talents of the future scholarship programme at MOME continues to grow, with one hundred students applying this year for what has become a genuinely distinctive scholarship opportunity. Since its launch, the programme has supported forty students from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them gain admission to university.
