National and international tenders

The fundamental objective of the Grant and Development Directorate is to manage the university’s active tender activities aligned with its strategy, as well as to plan and implement developments funded from tender.

The Directorate supports the university’s teachers, researchers, experts, and doctoral students to become involved in international networks and realise their professional objectives through tenders. Our activities range from seeking out current tender opportunities to concept development and submission of tender applications, and includes promoting, encouraging and implementing participation in national and international, in particular EU-funded, programmes.

RRF-2.1.2-21-2022-00021

Building on the positive changes resulting from reconfiguration of the organisational format facilitated by the model change, this project will improve operational efficiency in particular through the development of digital equipment, infrastructure of practical trainings, and digital competencies, as well as the updating of training contents. In addition, it will also enable service developments required for strengthening international engagement.

The aim of the University Research Fellowship Programme is to support the next generation of domestic researchers and creative artists, to help them embark on and remain in scientific and artistic careers, and to encourage the work of outstanding young researchers and creators. At MOME, 8 scholarship recipients are participating in the programme in the 2025/2026 academic year.

The international research project ARE BEST NbS aims to enhance the implementation of credible and socially inclusive Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for biodiversity protection and climate resilience. By combining insights from design, natural and social sciences, and the arts, the project investigates how people understand and value biodiversity and how these perceptions influence decision-making around NbS.

On January 1, 2025, the CONIFER project was launched with the participation of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME). Coordinated by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), the project is being implemented by twenty-five partner institutions across six European cities over the course of three years.

The impact of AI on Low-resource (limited digital resources) languages and their visual cultures” project supported by the Visegrad Fund and led by Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design aims to address the underrepresentation of low-resource languages, such as Slovak, Hungarian, Czech, Polish and their associated visual cultures in artificial intelligence systems.

In the project ZenctuaryVR+ the aim is to develop a VR application using participatory co-design tools and test this application directly on older adults in palliative care centre (FR) in the form of a feasibility study and conduct long-term randomized clinical trial on medical sites (HU).

Stipendium Hungaricum is a scholarship program for foreign students, which was launched by the Hungarian Government in 2013. The program aims to promote cultural understanding, economic and cultural relations between Hungary and other countries.

Our university participated in the HSUP programme (STARTUP-2024-HSUP-001) also in the 2023/2024 academic year, receiving a HUF 16.3 million grant from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund for the implementation of the programme with the contribution of the Express Innovation Agency.

BALATORIUM is part of the project of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture, and it is a professionally sound way to raise awareness of the ecological challenges of the region. Through cultural and artistic projects, it initiates a dialogue on the ecological system and values of Lake Balaton. It promotes long-term cooperation between scientific institutions and the cultural sector and through these activities gives an international dimension to the ecological challenges of Lake Balaton and its region and to artistic and cultural events that reflect these challenges.
