Training

The training provides opportunities for students to gain a better awareness of, and reflect on, their own knowledge and experiences related to the teaching profession. Training in the methods of theatre pedagogy helps achieve this by introducing the tools of rules-based games and role-playing games, as well as self-awareness and trust games, not to mention complex educational drama. During the two-semester Self-Awareness Training, students can enhance their self-awareness by attending short lectures, but mostly relying on their own experiences (with the help of questionnaires, situational exercises, controlled discussions, and individual and group tasks). The course topics include managing classroom conflicts, assertive communication and coping with the emotional challenges of being a teacher.
