Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design

Hungarian Startup University Program 2024/2025

In the semester of 2024/2025, the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design participated in the HSUP programme (STARTUP-2025-HSUP-015), which was financed by a grant of HUF 9 million from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, with the support of the Express Innovation Agency.

Sixteen students from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) received scholarship support during the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year within the HSUP program. Among them, four students successfully led their teams as project owners, resulting in the implementation of four completed projects. Throughout the semester, MOME’s HSUP teams had access to mentoring and expert guidance from professionals with relevant experience in the fields of business development, team development, innovation management, and IP awareness.

At the end of the semester, MOME teams presented their innovative developments to a wider audience at a networking and community-building event organized for this purpose. During the event, students pitched their project ideas and implementation progress before MOME faculty members, staff, fellow students, and a three-member professional jury.

The two-and-a-half-year course aims to introduce Hungarian students to the world of innovation, modern entrepreneurship and start-ups in particular. In the first semester of the two-year e-learning course, students learned about innovative thinking and the start-up world, while in the second semester they acquired practical knowledge on how to build a business.

The project identified by the code STARTUP-2025-HSUP-015 was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation and the contribution of the National Innovation Agency, financed from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund.
