As the Academic Director of MOME, he is responsible for all BA and MA courses, the professional content of the PreMOME preparatory course, and the organisation and development of teaching. As a lecturer, he teaches courses in product and lighting design and acts as a supervisor for several students in the MOME Doctoral School.
He studied design and lighting design, graduated with an MA in Industrial Design from MOME and a MA in Lighting Design from Wismar University of Applied Sciences in Germany. In 2010, he earned a doctorate (DLA) and after a successful habilitation he was appointed university professor in 2023. From 2015, he headed the Product Design Department for 4 years, then the Design Institute for one year. Since 2021, he has been Head of Academy at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME).
In recent years he has worked on various projects, mainly in the field of lighting and industrial design. He has been teaching at MOME for over 18 years and has also held workshops as a guest lecturer at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd and the Holon Institute of Technology.
Between 2018 and 2021, he was R&D project leader for the development of a smart office furniture system and associated mobile application. The project involved extensive research in the fields of furniture design, ergonomics, marketing, material technology, IoT and UX design.
