Csaba graduated from Budapest Technical University as an architect, and then got a degree in interior and furniture design at the Hungarian College of Applied Arts. He also studied at MOME Doctoral School. He started teaching at MOME after working as an architect for several decades and is currently a habilitated associate professor and Director of the Institute of Architecture.

Biography

He obtained his degree in public building design at BME’s Faculty of Architecture in 1986. He worked as an architect designer for three years at a subsidiary of the Budapest Housing Construction Company, Otthonterv. In 1993, he graduated as an environmental product designer from the Hungarian College of Arts and Crafts with a specialisation in interior design and furniture design. He has lived in the Netherlands twice: first in 1992, as part of a three-month student exchange program, then between 1994 and 1995, when he returned to work as an architect designer for Team 4 Architecten and Iparterv for half a year. Between 1997 and 2009, he worked as the managing director and as an architect and interior designer at Art Front Kft. Between 2003 and 2006, he completed his DLA studies at the Doctoral School of the Hungarian University of Applied Arts. Since 2009, he has been working as the managing director and as an architect and interior designer at NART Építész Műterem Kft. He started teaching at MOME’s Institute of Architecture in 2012. He became the institute’s director in 2017 and a university professor in 2023. His designs and the buildings he has designed have appeared in various publications, and received numerous professional awards and recognition. He is a member of several professional organisations: the Hungarian Chamber of Architects since 1990, the Budapest Chamber of Architects since 1997, and the National Association of Hungarian Artists since 1993, as well as a member of the board of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects since 2016.
