Dr Emese Révész became habilitated at MOME in 2021 in the field of illustration. She is the head of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Institute of Art History, Faculty of Humanities, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). As a lecturer, she teaches illustration theory and history at MOME.

Biography

She graduated in art history from the Faculty of Humanities at Eötvös Loránd University, and went on to defend her PhD dissertation there in 2008. Her field of expertise includes the history of printmaking and book illustration, with particular emphasis on the period after 1945 and contemporary trends, as well as the Hungarian early Hungarian modernist painting and the history of higher education in art.
