Zsófia Papp is a researcher in the Conscious Textile Group at the Innovation Center’s Material Hub. She received her BA and MA degrees in textile design at MOME.

Biography

Zsófia Papp deals with sustainable textile design and material research. She also coordinates the material development projects of the Conscious Textile Group. She got her BA and MA degrees in textile design at MOME. She was an Erasmus student at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) and the National College of Art and Design Dublin (NCAD).  Her field of expertise is woven fabrics, and designing objects and accessories made of leather. She examines the craft in both these fields, along with the development of technologies and new materials within them, with a view towards creating a sustainable industry in the future. Since 2016, she has been an active member of the Association of the Studio of Young Applied Artists, and in 2022 she received a Lajos Kozma Applied Arts Scholarship.
