Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design
Campus Park renewal
Since its major redevelopment in 2019, MOME’s 15,000 m² garden has been a park open to the public. It was designed to meet the needs of the university community, with climate resilience and urban ecological considerations in mind.
Visitors can explore MOME’s history through various artworks and installations placed throughout the park, preserving the university’s traditions, memories, and heritage. These include memorials, sculptures, and trees dedicated to influential past teachers and mentors.
The park is an integral part of university life, serving not only as a venue for events and social gatherings but also as a space for teaching.
Students experience firsthand the regenerative power of nature and the potential for collaboration with the environment.
In recent years, the park has become more sustainable and biodiverse, with additions such as a community garden and a composter designed by students, a biodiverse rooftop garden, and four beehives.
