Aurum Futuri research excellence award
MOME citizens with at least two years of employment (whether full or part time) or doctoral student status are eligible to apply, with individual or group basic or applied research in humanities, design, art or science, not older than 3 years.
Entries need to be submitted individually. If the entry submissions include research conducted by the applicant together with others in a team, the applicant also needs to attach a statement of endorsement from each member of the team.
Documents to be submitted by the applicant:
- professional CV highlighting the research practice;
- precise description of the research(es), timing, results, impact, dissemination;
- in the case of group research, a precise definition of the specificity and weight of the individual research;
- in the case of group research, the applicant must provide a document showing the support of their research colleagues;
- portfolio (e.g. publications, exhibitions, realised works, designs, methodologies, patents, etc.);
- presentation of teaching activities at MOME, if related to the research content;
- optional: a recommendation from an internationally recognised researcher not involved in the research.

The applications received are reviewed by a professional committee of five, consisting of one doctoral student delegated by the Doctoral Student Council, one external research expert, one previous winner and two other MOME lecturers or researchers with a doctoral degree, appointed by the Rector.
3.step
The shortlisted applicants will present their applications to the members of the committee, followed by a discussion by the committee.
4.step
Applicants are notified of the committee’s decision during the summer. Next, coordination with the winning applicant about the award ceremony in September and the related communication begins.
5.step
Each year, one award is presented. The award ceremony takes place at the opening of the academic year ceremony.
