MOME Doctoral School Short Workshop – Inclusive Design, Disabilities and Social Design

Various design strategies focus on social aspects and excluded communities. These include inclusive design, design and disabilities and lately, social design. In this short workshop, we will delve into the parallel dimensions of these strategies and reflect on their relevance to contemporary and future PhD research.

We will start with two short presentations by design professors Shilpa Das and Jonathan Ventura, continue with a discussion and conclude with applications to PhD design students. Before the workshop, students will read a paper and prepare a 500-word essay on its relevance to their PhD dissertation.
