Architectural and Design History Studies

The Architectural and Design History Studies module aims to provide knowledge on the history of furniture and architecture. Furniture history courses introduce students to furniture production and interior art through various eras of technique and style. During the course, students have the opportunity to visit museum collections, historical interiors and art dealers on numerous occasions and become familiar with the literature and research locations related to the subject. Architectural history classes also lay the foundation for general visual and architectural knowledge and analysis methodologies. The courses explore the history of architecture from the early Middle Ages to the 21st century in close connection with art history and cultural history.
