Foundation

The aim of the two courses in the Foundation module is to introduce first-year students to university education and prepare them to successfully complete the programme. Students learn about the institutions, tools and resources necessary for theoretical work, as well as the basic methods of research, writing and presentation. While carrying out individual and group assignments, they master the fundamental techniques of academic research and publishing. They also learn how to find the resources they need for their work and to develop a critical attitude towards them. The module teaches students to independently navigate their area of research once they have graduated from the programme. It also gives them the skills they need to do their work based on sound professional knowledge and in line with up-to-date academic methods and requirements.
