A tavaszi szervezeti megújulást követően, a megváltozott jogszabályi környezethez igazodva a MOME ismét megújította Szenátusát. A demokratikus, jogszerű választási folyamat eredményeként létrejött testület 2026. október 29-én tartotta alakuló ülését, összetétele jelentős átfedést mutat a korábbi Szenátuséval, teljes tagságának több mint 90 százaléka már az előző testület munkájában is részt vett.
A MOME-n tartották szeptember 29-én az Európai Hulladékcsökkentési Hét 2026-os hazai indítását beharangozó sajtótájékoztatót. Az eseményen Gajdos László, az élő környezetért felelős miniszter is részt vett. Az idei kampány az anyagtakarékosság fontosságára hívja fel a figyelmet a „Minden döntés számít! Minden erőforrás érték!” szlogennel.
Október 15-én Szingapúrban adták át a Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2026 díjait, amelyek közül ötöt MOME-hallgatók koncepciói nyertek el. Az idei díjazottak közül Égerházi Zsomborral, valamint a Red Dot díjas Kovács Kristóffal és Sárady Gergellyel október 30-án, a MOME MA Nyílt nap × Alumni-karriernapján is találkozhatnak az érdeklődők. A FormaNorma Alumni Special – Fókuszban a Red Dot díj című kerekasztal-beszélgetésen a résztvevők a nemzetközi elismeréshez vezető útról, a pályázás folyamatáról és a díj szakmai jelentőségéről osztják meg tapasztalataikat.
The pioneering Social Design Network (SDN), which now connects researchers from nine countries, also began with a visit to Israel. Since its inception with MOME as a founding member, the SDN has grown into an international umbrella organisation and built a unique body of knowledge in social design. The SDN is just one example of the many ways experience gained abroad, whether an exhibition, a conference, or a university partnership, can feed into academic work at MOME. New professional connections can lay the foundation for new educational methods and joint research projects.
On 1 October, MOME’s Digital Object Making specialisation welcomed a delegation from Japan’s Yamagata University. The future of food, food printing, and soft-material printing took centre stage during the visit by the SWEL Lab (Soft & Wet Matter Engineering Lab), led by Professor Hidemitsu Furukawa. A researcher from Japanese food company Fuji Oil also joined the visit, alongside chef Masayuki Okuda, who brings his culinary expertise to Yamagata University’s research. The programme concluded with a tasting of 3D-printed sushi made from plant-based ingredients, prepared by Okuda himself.
A 2026. április 12-i választással egyértelmű és megkérdőjelezhetetlen felhatalmazás született a tudományos szabadság és a felsőoktatási autonómia maradéktalan helyreállítására, valamint a szférának az Európai Kutatási és Felsőoktatási Térségbe való visszatérésére. A MOME Szenátusa ezúton kinyilvánítja, hogy élni kíván a változás lehetőségével, ezért a továbbiakban autonómiájának újjáépítésén fog dolgozni.

On 21 October, the *The Next Station is...* exhibition of the Stefan Lengyel Scholarship of Excellence will open at Merlin. Celebrating the fifth anniversary of the exhibition, this year’s show presents the work of all 32 scholarship recipients from the 2025/26 academic year, this time outside the MOME Campus, in the iconic Merlin exhibition space in the city centre.
Az Egyetemi Kutatói Ösztöndíj Program ösztöndíjas hallgatói október 26-án vehetik át oklevelüket, az ünnepségen beszédet mond Kovács Csaba rektor. Az oklevelek átadását követően a 2025/2026-os tanév ösztöndíjasainak prezentációit hallhatjuk, a részletes program alább olvasható. A Kulturális és Innovációs Minisztérium, valamint a Nemzeti Kutatási, Fejlesztési és Innovációs Hivatal által meghirdetett ösztöndíjprogram célja az alap-, mester- és doktori képzésben részt vevő hallgatók kutatási tevékenységének és szakmai fejlődésének a támogatása.
How is artificial intelligence reshaping the visual representation of our region? Opening on 14 October 2026, Natiömel Mušelm of Almostland and Gift Shop explores this question through an exhibition that is both an artistic project and a research experiment. Through the art of a fictional country, the project examines how the cultural heritage of the Visegrad Four (V4) region is represented in global AI systems.
