András Kerékgyártó graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 2011 as a designer. Then in 2013 he obtained a Master's degree in furniture design from Aalto University in Helsinki. After completing his studies in Finland, he came back to MOME to do his doctoral research, obtaining his doctorate (DLA) in 2020. In the meantime, he also started teaching at the University, primarily in furniture design-related subjects.
Biography
Since finishing his studies, he has worked on several projects and with a number of companies, and has a series of products in the pipeline. With his knowledge of production processes and technologies, his involvement and experience ranges from joint concept development, through pre-production to product follow-up and branding, paying equal attention to all elements of the process. His active design practice allows him to provide students with up-to-date and credible information and insights.
