Edit Kondor graduated as a ceramic designer from the design and DLA programmes at MOME. As a lecturer, she has been leading undergraduate and postgraduate courses in ceramic design for 10 years. She is an associate professor and head of the Designer Maker BA programme and the Ceramic Design MA programme. She shapes the educational structure of the Designer Maker programme and organises educational and research activities. She is a thesis supervisor on a variety of design topics ranging from functional design to autonomous artistic projects.
Biography
As a ceramic designer and porcelain designer, she creates both in the field of product design and autonomous studio art. She completed her professional education at the following institutions: MOME – Ceramic Design, UIAH (Aalto University) – Glass and Ceramics Design (Helsinki), VSUP (Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design) – Applied Arts (Prague), National College of Art and Design – Ceramics and Glass (Dublin). As a designer, she has worked on product development projects for Alföld Porcelain Tableware Factory and the French company Degrenne. As a recipient of the Moholy-Nagy László Design Grant, she won the Hungarian Design Award in the Product category. Her works can be found in Hungary’s top restaurants.
In the field of studio art, her porcelain sculptures have been featured in numerous Hungarian and international exhibitions. She regularly participates in symposia, biennales and trade conferences.
