Laura Takács is a geographer, economist, and European Union expert. She has 25 years of professional experience in implementing European Union programmes and projects from both the provider and beneficiary sides. She joined MOME in September 2023. As Tender and Development Director, she oversees the university's domestic and international grant activities, as well as the implementation of supported projects.
Biography
Laura Takács is the Director of the Tender and Development Directorate. She obtained her first degree in 1998 from Eötvös Loránd University, specialising in geography with a focus on regional and urban development. In 2003, she completed her studies at Budapest University of Economics and Public Administration. In 2021, she graduated from Semmelweis University with a degree in healthcare management.
For 13 years, she led the EU supported regional development projects and programmes of VÁTI Nonprofit Kft. Later she managed various support areas of the European Social Fund (education, healthcare and social programmes). She oversaw the implementation of these programmes and projects, as well as the organisational units dealing with them.
She supported the Kőszeg-based KRAFT programme (Creative City - Sustainable Countryside) and the establishment of the Institute of Advanced Studies for many years. Prior to joining MOME, she worked on healthcare development, including establishing the national skills lab network at teaching hospitals and medical universities.
