Biography
He is a co-founder of the New Directions Group of architects and landscape architects, and a co-designer of Millenáris Park Budapest. He is a co-founder of social architecture non-profit Reflekt Studio, as well as the co-founder and, until 2022, co-owner of Hello Wood. He has been a lecturer at the MOME Institute of Architecture since 2010. He got his DLA degree in 2023.
His work has been recognized with the following awards, among others: Budapest Architecture Award for Millennáris Park (New Directions Landscape Architects Ltd), Erste Foundation Award for Social Integration (Reflekt Studio Nonprofit Ltd.), Architizer A+ Award (Hello Wood Ltd.), Design Management Award of the Hungarian Design Council (Hello Wood Ltd.)
He is the editor and co-author of the books and publications titled HELLO WOOD 1–5: Architectural Exercises, Builders: Socially Engaged Architecture from Hungary, and Children of the Wood.
He has given presentations about his work at numerous international conferences and universities, including in New York, Los Angeles, Entre Ríos in Argentina, Toronto, London , Cluj-Napoca in Romania, and Budapest. In 2022 a joint project with his students granted him an invitation to the Tallinn Architecture Biennale. His research focuses on the possibilities of developing architecture, community, and personality through doing and action.
