Project MindCare was developed as a comprehensive therapeutic tool to address the issue of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) caused by war experiences. Developed by Ukrainian designer Diana Hubska in collaboration with clinical psychologists, this application leverages augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) technologies to enhance psychological treatments. The aim is to provide tech-supported interventions for a widespread significant improvement of PTSD therapy outcomes.

Using virtual reality (VR) headsets, patients undergoing eye-movement desensitisation therapy can be exposed to familiar, comforting objects that hold personal significance for them. The innovative toolkit helps them process painful emotions linked to traumatic events, replacing these with positive, supportive memories. It also provides crucial support between therapy appointments through personalised tasks designed to help patients regain their vitality, resilience, and stress tolerance. MindCare brings hope and support to those who need it most, offering a path to healing through modern, customisable technological tools.
