A new temporary exhibition opened at the Hungarian National Museum's Public Collection Centre on 18 October 2024 under the title Shine! – The Time of Jewellery. In addition to a selection spanning 40,000 years of human history and featuring treasures from the museum’s 222-year-old collection, works by MOME students and faculty are also on display. The exhibition will be expanded further in November, accompanied by a series of related events.

How can a designer draw inspiration from nature? Nature is a vast source of knowledge and a powerful engine for innovation. Today, innovation inspired by nature has become a structured methodology known as biomimicry. This lecture by illustrious researcher of the Tel Aviv University Yael Helfman Cohen offers an introduction to the world of biomimetics and biomimicry, showcasing examples of sustainable and innovative applications, innovation stories, demonstrations, and experiments to encourage a new way of thinking. At the end of the lecture, she will introduce tools for sustainable design inspired by nature.

The Future Potentials Observatory invites you to a Speaker Series event titled “FPO TALKS” presented by Paul Shrivastava, professor of management and organization at the Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business, Co-president of The Club of Rome, a global sustainability think-and-act tank and member of the Advisory Board of the FPO.

The two-day event will explore the latest trends and breakthroughs in material design, covering both traditional crafts and cutting-edge technologies.

A francia autómárka és a Moholy-Nagy Művészeti Egyetem (MOME) egyedülálló együttműködésének eredményeként meghirdetett fotópályázat nyertes munkáit október 21-22-én a MOME Campuson tekinthetjük meg. A négy nemzetközileg elismert fotóművész, Legát Franciska, Rédling Hanna, Tar Ágnes és Máté Balázs munkáit Szombat Éva kurátor keretezi.

On 15 October, the exhibition Sequences of Ideas: Shared Visions in Design will open at the MOME Campus, showcasing the works of students who have received the Stefan Lengyel Scholarship of Excellence for the 2023/24 academic year.

Organised by MOME Anim and the Fresh Meat Festival, the Fresh Rooster Animation Film Days will take place for the third year in a row at Toldi Cinema in Budapest. This two-day event aims to bring together industry professionals and animation enthusiasts, providing a platform to present MOME’s internationally acclaimed diploma films in a fitting local setting.

In line with the best practices of international fashion schools and in sync with international fashion weeks, the MOME FASHION SHOW will once again take place this year, under the professional direction of Kele Ildikó and Viola Balázs. The MOME Fashion Show aims to provide a platform for the university's fashion, textile, and costume design students, introducing the next generation of designers to a broader audience.

As a complementary event to the MOME Fashion Show, already regarded as a tradition, this exhibition features student projects not specifically intended for the catwalk. They reinterpret personal and collective identity through the lens of fashion, textile, and costume design, while addressing profound social and cultural issues.
