Stefan Lengyel Scholarship of Excellence - Announcement of the winners

The 16 applicants who will receive the Stefan Lengyel Excellence Scholarship will be announced at a ceremonial award ceremony on March 5. It is a special pleasure and honor for us that the namesake of the scholarship, Professor Emeritus Stefan Lengyel, will also be present at the event.

Stefan Lengyel, is one of the most influential figures in the Hungarian and German design profession, the former head of the Department of Design at MOME, and his students are now leading professionals of global companies. Join the event, where you can get to know the students who received the Stefan Lengyel Excellence Scholarship in the 2023/24 academic year.

In 2020, the Foundation for Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design launched the Stefan Lengyel Excellence Scholarship programme. In addition to providing a performance-based grant to studentst, its two modules place a major focus on enhancing the up-to-date, industry-relevant, practical competences of studentst and on their professional integration.

In order to win the Stefan Lengyel Excellence Scholarship, in the first round, the students advanced based on the votes of the university community. In the second round, the best projects were added to the shortlist based on the votes of the jury. The finalist students presented their projects in front of a professional jury per institute, after which the committee selected the 16 scholarship recipients.

In addition to university managers and lecturers, industry experts also participate in the work of the jury, and of course Stefan Lengyel himself.
