The Media Design MA programme prepares students to become – as multimedia designers – key players and leaders in creating media artworks, as well as in the creative processes of the creative, entertainment, and advertistement industries, media arts, and applied visual design.

In June, two Hungarian film festivals will feature several former and graduating MOME students: Fresh Meat Budapest International Short Film Festival, followed by the Kecskemét Animation Film Festival.
Flóra Anna Buda won the Palme d'Or for the best short film at the 76th Cannes Film Festival with her French-Hungarian co-production 27, which will be shown to Hungarian audiences at the Fresh Meat Festival starting on 1 June. The director’s name is not unfamiliar in the international festival circuit.
A unique exhibition featuring works by former and current MOME graphic design students opened at the BBBKultPont Gallery and Community Space, located on Bartók Béla út – the cultural high street of Buda – on 8 May 2023. PICK as a Hungarian brand with a history dating back 150 years, and the salami-related experiences defining the taste memories of several generations provided the inspiration for the exhibition, and the artworks were reviewed and evaluated by an expert jury.

The aim is to train open-minded designers who can respond sensitively to environmental, social and cultural processes and stand for the highest standards of quality. It seeks to enhance the competitiveness of MOME graduate designers both in the national and international arena, helping them carve out a niche in the industry for themselves.
We aim to ensure that students of our institute as well as of the design institutes have an in-depth understanding of art in its social, historical and conceptual context, can play an active role in its creation, and are able to mediate it in both informal and formal (classes, critiques, papers, exhibitions) settings.
In our vision artistic spatial design, negotiation skills and engineering knowledge form a unit that builds on each other. The Institute aims to train responsible professionals endowed with creative power, with equal weight of tradition and innovation.
