The Ministry of Culture and Innovation, through the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, provides support to the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design for the development and operation of the University Research Scholarship Programme, specifically the Cooperative Doctoral Programme, based on Government Decree 24/2013 (II. 5.) regarding national higher education excellence.

The call for scholarship applications announced in 2024 support higher education student excellence among students engaged in doctoral studies, pursuing successful research and creative activities at higher education institutions, and engaging in research activities primarily at companies (either under an employment contract or any other relationship involving work) to advance the practical application of their scientific achievements.
