Senate and Board of Trustees to draft agreement based on shared values

Date: 2025.03.06
Important discussions have taken place in recent days, aimed at seeking consensus, fostering consolidation, and building and strengthening trust between the various parties. “Following the resolutions made at the extraordinary Senate meetings in February, the Senate has started negotiations with both the MOME Front and the Board of Trustees of the Foundation maintaining the university. Both discussions are productive and focused on building mutual understanding”, said CEO of MOME and acting president of the MOME Senate Réka Matheidesz.

Both the Senate and the Board of Trustees are committed to strengthening trust between the parties. In the spirit of cooperation, it was decided that an agreement will be drafted, to be signed jointly by the Senate and the Board of Trustees and founded on the mutual understanding between the Senate, the Board of Trustees and the student community. The aim is to identify shared values and create a contract that will define the shared values and goals, as well as the theoretical framework for future collaboration between the Senate and the Board of Trustees.

Discussions are ongoing with smaller negotiating delegations from both parties.
