Stipendium Hungaricum Excellence Award 2025 – a MOME student among the recipients

Date: 2025.11.25
On 17 November, Designer-Maker student Tsovinar Manukyan received the Stipendium Hungaricum Excellence Award. The award was presented to a total of forty-eight international students with outstanding academic results studying in Hungary during the semester. Organised by the Tempus Public Foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Excellence Award Gala took place at the Festetics Palace in Budapest, celebrating academic achievement alongside cultural and active community engagement.

This year’s awards were presented in three main categories: natural sciences and engineering (STEM+); social sciences, humanities and the arts; and learning Hungarian and pursuing studies taught in Hungarian. The award recipients came from thirty-two countries and twenty-five Hungarian higher education institutions.

From MOME, Designer Maker student Manukyan Tsovinar from Armenia received the award in the humanities and arts category, in recognition of her outstanding academic performance and active community involvement. Her personal motto – “Every new beginning starts with a change” – has been a steady source of motivation throughout her studies, helping her navigate new environments with resilience and determination during her time at MOME.

Earlier, she also featured in the university’s A Day in the Life at MOME  video series, where she spoke about her everyday experiences as a student, her reasons for choosing MOME, the role her mentor plays in supporting her academic journey, and the ways in which the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship contributes to both her studies and personal growth.
