A sárhatvani nagyboldogasszony templom revitalizációja

In the village of Sárhatvan, in Fejér county, stands the Nagyboldogasszony Church, currently empty. The aim of the project is to explore possible directions for the revitalisation of the church, so that the former sacred space can once again become an important part of the community by transforming it into a multifunctional space. Fanni Zsófi Baranyi designed practical steps to implement programmes aligning with the needs of the community - cultural and art events, workshops, concerts, movie screenings, community events such as weddings and family events - that might also put the area on the tourism map. During the project, based on continuous cooperation with the community and personal experiences, the student explored the possibilities of revitalisation and using international and national examples, analysed how a former sacred space can be filled with a variety of cultural and community functions.
