Blinky is an AI-based home office tool that can measure the number and duration of blinks to recognise and indicate fatigue. Using the prototype created at the university I was able to demonstrate viability, and the final design could be developed in collaboration with engineers in the future. The integration of AI into ordinary objects has already started. Some find the idea terrifying, some intriguing, but it is clearly an irreversible process. What matters is to position this technology within the set of design values, put it at the service of humanity and nature, and use it to explore hitherto unmapped correlations.
