The Cloudfactory was a long term collaborative social design project, the aim of which was to foster creativity and community resilience among vulnerable kids of rural background through design-based co-creational processes.
Cloudfactory is an experimental social design project where kids of vulnerable rural backgroung in extreme poverty can work and create together with young designers, in Bódva Valley, one of the most disadvantaged regions of Hungary, Central-Eastern Europe. The project was initiated by MOME EcoLab, the predecessor of the Social Design Hub, in partnership with the local primary school of Bódvaszilas. Cloudfactory was an experiment to open new perspectives in changing social problems with the power of creativity and design thinking.
Through years of collaboration various artefacts and installations were created at the Bódvaszilas Elementary School through participatory co-creational processes by MOME and other design students, local pedagogy experts and local kids of the elementary school. The project opens new perspectives for children participants as well as the design students.
