My masterwork is an outdoor glass series that tells the legends of the city of Pécs.
The glass signs will be displayed in different parts of the city and will tell stories to passers-by using an app. The aim of my masterwork is to allow visitors to playfully explore the city and connect with some of its stories. The project would also introduce locals to stories they may not have been familiar with, thereby also building a sense of community.
In my dissertation I analyse public artworks that encourage their viewers to remember and to think. I discuss the importance of public art, street art, and community art in terms of community building, and the relationship of guerrilla works to their environment. I attempt to determine the criteria of good hidden public artworks by analyzing several hidden monuments, signs and miniature sculptures.
