Modular shoes are an experimental solution to address the widespread use of shoes that are impossible or difficult to recycle.
I designed a sole system that is separate from the upper, can be divided into parts, and is variable.
Since the shoes use mechanical attachments, they are easier to recycle or mend.
They can be fitted with a sole or sole unit with a different function or looks to suit the needs of the wearer.
