Road-building games inspired by Immanuel Kant's conception of time and space and retrofuturism - the feeling of nostalgia for times that never came to be.
The first project is a board game in which players cooperate to build a path leading back to itself. This road is intended to represent the three timelines - past, present and future - simultaneously. The second project develops the first further and deals with the concept of infinity. The game uses electricity to play a melody when the route is completed. Maja Galántai transformed the text of her thesis into data by assigning a specific frequency to each letter, so that the data stream is turned into music. The road is built with hexagonal boxes. The boxes contain microchips on which the designer programmed the sounds as data distributed among the pieces. The music in its entirety can be experienced when all the boxes are part of the road. Circuits and boxes can be interconnected in a variety of ways, and further variations can be created by increasing the number of boxes.
