Emerging Technology Conference - AI in Art and Design
Focused on the intersections of design and the latest technologies, the event aims to bring together educators, researchers, industry professionals, and students to delve into the multifaceted relationship between design and emerging tech and facilitate discussions on various critical aspects.
During the conference, our university will also host a 3-day hackathon with the theme 'Artificial Intelligence for Green Cities', aiming to showcase the opportunities AI can offer in combination with sustainable design and urban planning.
Our event provides a platform for cross-pollination of ideas and professionals and research groups to meet, fostering collaborations that push design towards the future. The discussions and talks will shed light on new design opportunities, challenges, and ethics considerations in the context of MI and Big Data, while the emerging synergies can promote partnerships between education institutions and businesses.
The conference will feature speakers such as mathematician László Mérő, communication researcher Petra Aczél, digital artist Dávid Szauder, Regional Director East at EIT Digital Tuan Trinh and head of the Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics and co-creator of PuliGPT Gábor Prószéky. Prószéky's talk will also cover why it is important to have chat GPT, an application already used by millions of people, also in Hungarian.
The event will be opened by President of the MOME Foundation Gergely Böszörményi-Nagy, and hosted by head of the Interaction Design programme Fogarasy Tamás and Director of Strategic Development Máté Milovits.
