FORMA NORMA // Inspirational presentations- Ádám Tóth
On Wednesday, April 5, from 17:00 to 19:00, we can learn from Ádám Tóth, who graduated at MOME as a designer and who recently returned home from the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneur program in Lisbon, how a Portuguese furniture design studio works. Ádám worked in Lisbon at MOR Design, founded by Pedro Sottomayor.
In addition, he will talk about the Malom project he founded, his design challenges so far, his current inspirations and, finally, how he is connected to the mentoring program of Design Terminal and NTK.
"With the Malom project, our experiments are focused on how plastic waste can be reintroduced into the material cycle, and how users can participate in this process. In the summer, for example, at the Sziget festival, the participants could bring their plastic waste to our stand and we pressed them into frisbees. In addition, we consider it important to create aesthetic and quality objects from already existing materials, the first such object I designed is a table lamp."
We ask the participants to bring as many plastic caps as possible to the event, which we will donate to the Mill project!
This year again, MOME's Product Design programs will offer inspiring lectures on a wide variety of design topics every second Wednesday.
We will discuss the present and the future of design and related fields, important dilemmas, and questions with our lecturers, former students, and representatives of the professional scene. The sessions are not only offering inspiration but also a way to connect with the community.
The events are free and open to the public!
Presentation is in Hungarian!
