Albertfalva – Crossing to the Nagybaracska Island

Within the confines of a semester long course we designed spaces incorporating residential as well as community functions belonging to the everyday life of the inhabitants on the 3.5 hectare, presently empty plot at the Albertfalva OTI field. The funding stone of our design concept was to thicken up the residential functions on the north side of the plot and allow the southern areas to host a green park giving space for community life. The concept was born out of the aim to initiate a discussion: it differs from usual or fixed concepts that shape the connotations of residential areas and housing while it supports the mixture of private and public functions
