‎Silēns

Silēns is an experimental reinterpretation of the relationship between writing, image, and music. I developed an individual system that turns language (written text) into sound using an unusual medium. During the process, writing is transferred first to a visual, and then to an auditory medium. The purpose of the process is to abstract from the linguistic form of writing and text as a usual communication medium. The process is built on the pictorial nature of writing, the essential link between language and sound, and the code-like nature of languages and communication signs.
