After previously realised creative projects I started to focus on physical data visualization (data physicalization, data embodiment, data sculpture) per se within the framework of a doctoral scholarships in two rounds. The main result of the first program (2017-18) entitled „Adattér I.” was the creation of an installation ‘Almost Everyone’ reflecting on the situation of childbirth in Hungary. In the second program (2018-19) „Adattér II.” I examined spatial data visualization as a genre and as a tool for interdisciplinary design research through examples and interviews with creators and data visualization professionals.
The aim of my ongoing doctoral research is to implement physical data visualizations dealing with social issues and to examine whether and how they can be considered as a creative and social research method beside their artistic value.
